Workflow

What kind of design files do you need?

We prefer layered PSD, PNG or AI files. If the mockup is in some other format, please contact us to see if we can work with the design files you have. The more layers there are the better quality of sliced images you will receive.

What if I don't have layered design files?

Well, what else is there to do? We will surely do our best creating the code from JPEG, PDF or any kind of flat images you provide. Of course, there are some cases when layered files are essential. Also there might be some restrictions to the design when flattened files are used. You can upload the design files you have and we will see what we can do.

I need my site re-sliced. What kind of files shall I send then?

Please supply us with the site files to work from - html, css, images, script files, etc that are used to display your site. The screenshots of the desired look of the pages would be handy as well, to make sure that the final markup looks like it was intended to.

What other files can be helpful?
  • Font files
  • Screenshots of the pages, if there are several pages in the psd file
  • Screenshot of how the pages should look like at big resolutions - if you decide to choose a flexible width for your site
  • A spec describing the functionality of the site - if you'd like your site to be implemented into Wordpress, Joomla or other CMS.

We do accept only upfront payments. However, in case of multiple page orders, you can pay for the markup of only the first page upfront. We will create the XHTML/CSS for the first page and send it to you. You review the markup and if you're satisfied with the code, you submit the payment for the rest of the pages. It's that simple.

If you're unsure about the total price of the project you do not have to complete the payment step as well. In this case we will look through your designs and requirements and will send you the payment link via email.

We can either send you the Wordpress / Joomla / Drupal theme in a zip archive with an installation manual, or we can install it on your server, if you provide us with the FTP access to your server, URL to your site, and the access to the admin panel of the required CMS

We also like to point out that we only implement the pages we created the markup for. We cannot guarantee that the other pages that use a different template will be styled in case there is no design for all templates of the site. We make the code from scratch only, using our markup as a source

What is included in the price of CMS implementation?

Only default functionality is included. If the templates require the installation of any plugins, or extra coding, we will let you know after investigating your designs and spec. If the scope of work goes beyond the default functionality we will provide you with a quote and payment link for extra coding in case you decide on it.

Do you use CSS frameworks?

Honestly, we prefer not to. We like creating the code from scratch for each design, because creating the code from scratch is the best solution for every unique page as there are no limitations for the design.

However, upon request, we can use frameworks, such as Blueprint, 960gs, Yahoo Grids, etc. In case you'd like us to use frameworks please be sure to state it in the Comments section when submitting an order.

What about CSS3?
CSS3 has not been officially released yet, as you probably know. So we make CSS2.1 for all our projects. But of course, we can add some experimental styles that CSS3 allows, upon request.

Of course. Send us the design using the contact form on our web site and we will send you a quote for coding it.
